Travel Health Insurance

There is no charge to the individual for using the services of a licensed health insurance agent—the commission is entirely paid by the carrier. The carrier is prohibited from selling the policy any cheaper if an individual does not use an agent.

As of 2014 Dubai, UAE requires all visitors to have qualifying international travel health insurance to get a visa.

Following a European Council decision of 22 December 2003, as of 1 June 2004 visa holders are as a rule required to have travel health insurance with a minimum coverage of EUR 30,000 that is valid for the entire Schengen area. If possible this insurance should be taken out in the applicant's own country, but it can also be purchased by the host.  Parties to the Schengen Treaty are Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden.
